just something I have to do for work, figured I'd plop it in here for people to see what I do all day. It's been tough trying to find good, clean photos for this. Also I can't make it too complicated or get too overly creative, as it's a sample design just to showcase the printing capabilities of our machines. I basically have a bunch of promo type stuff to make (ie. bookmarks, trade cards, tickets, posters, etc.) that need to be neat, clean, clear and concise, simple but creative, and are also able to showcase the color and clarity capabilities of our machines.
Bleh, I wish I could really go nuts and spend forever working on these. Seriously, I have tones of ideas that would all require lots of time, trial and patience. All of which I don't have time for. No sketching, too much time and work. No complex illustrations, same deal. Time really is short and so is money, since this isn't a design agency... it's a marketing dept product sample production devision (freakin mouth full) at a printer machine company. And that isn't my only function.. I also have to keep all our old samples in stock, and print customer supplied files for the sales staff to send for prospective buyers.
On top of all that and my recent cold, I feel like crap. My creativity has taken a nose dive. I need a sabatical somewhere quiet, with all my art supplies, for like a year... because that's about how long it takes me to make anything to completion these days.
