A flyer for a benefit concert for ARF: the Anamal Rescue Foundation of Mobile Alabama. It was a charity event, that we were asked to create a flyer for, to help raise funding for animals that were displaced, injured or abandoned after the devistating events of Hurricane Katrina (and other US Gulf Coast region Hurricanes, and natural disasters, in general). I also had to redraw the ARF logo, as the only logo they had was made for the web (72dpi) and just looked nasty in print. So, using photoshop, I cleaned it up and redrew it to just look better, not redesign it.
Afterwards we were given full rights to modify and distribute this flyer as a mock-print sample for our product, for promotional use of it's printing capabilities; Originally there was a brief description of the event, as well as contact and location information. I have removed information requarding the event for purposes of annonymity, and also for space to plac our logo and contact info.
Original size 8.5"x11" (letter size US standard), 300pdi CMYK
Created using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop CS2 on a PowerPC iMac G5.
perhaps more later.
Oh, and be sure to check out thier website (www.animalrescuemobile.org) or your local animal rescue foundation.
Please feel free to comment and critique... I am open to and appreciative of professional and general opinions.
Thanks for looking!

EDIT just check some spelling and reworded the description. NO changes to the flyer itself. And, yes, I realize it looks simple and not very artsy.. but that's what they wanted. Believe me, I had lots of ideas in mind - which I may develope if I have time and post here as well. Pehaps putting my concept sketches in scraps.

I wrote your name on a piece of paper, but by
accident I threw it away I wrote your name on my

It's times like these when we show the entire world deviantART is home to the best artists on the planet.
As the new GM for Macro Photography, I want to talk to you about the concept of Macro Photography - what it is and what it involves. Also, there are a few guidelines on what's Macro and what isn't.
This article is to help deviants learn how to type with smaller, bolded, underlined or various types of fonts while leaving comments. I hope it comes in handy
With a record level of nominations and suggestions on an almost daily basis, it would be hard to ignore the community call to recognise such a fine example of a deviant as `snowmask. Katie's beautifully delicate artworks are elegant and instantly recognisable due to her finely tuned creative style, a clear reflection of her personality. With a multitude of journals which are thought provoking, funny and resourceful, it's impossible not to be touched by such a bright light in our community. Congratulati... Read More

I spend so much time doing things for work I burn out my drive to do extra work, too. Let's hope we can all find a balance, someday.
